Work Experience
Dr. Som began practicing medicine at various hospitals in Phnom Penh in 1996.  In 1997 he became the Chief of Operational District Hospital in Kandal Province.  From 2001 - 2006 he trained in the departments of Medical Imaging, Infections Diseases, and Internal Medicine at various hospitals in Paris, France.  Dr. Som then became the HIV/AIDS Senior Doctor Supervisor in the Infectious Disease department at Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh.  In 2007 he became the Medical Coordinator at MSF France and a Senior Doctor in the OPD, IPD, and Internal Medicine departments at Naga International Clinic.  Prior to opening Khema Clinic in 2012, Dr. Som was a senior doctor in the OPD, IPD, Emergency, ICU, and Hemodialysis Unit at Royal Rattanak Hospital.  In 2012 he also trained in the ICU at Cochin University Hospital in Paris, France. Dr. Som founded and opened Khema Clinic & Maternity in 2012.
